About Suchi

I lived through the disruption and fall of the traditional telco industry and the rise of Google Voice/Skype. I developed the very first commercial Voice over IP application in 2000 and ended my corporate career leading product management for Microsoft Lync - this marked the mainstream nature of VoIP. I have consulted and advised CXO level executives as well as the small businesses such as taxicab companies in Harlem, NY. I am a skilled operations lead with great attention to detail and love getting my hands dirty.

I wanted the second phase of my career to be socially meaningful and it was the right for me to launch my own entrepreneurial venture. I am passionate about applying information technology to solve sustainability issues. In 2011, I co-founded the Cleanweb Hackathon, a non profit dedicated to growing entrepreneur ecosystems that focus on technology solutions for carbon reduction. This has taken off in a very successful way and am currently planning a Seattle edition for October 2012 with local companies Energy Savvy, Revision Labs, 3Tier etc.

6 months ago, I also set up Watts@Work, an online venture , dedicated to making energy decisions easier for small and medium businesses. This is my full time seed stage funded entrepreneurial venture. We have 2 products in the pipeline for launch - a California launch in July for tariff shopping and a Seattle product in August for benchmarking and regulatory compliance. I am seeking co-founding team members to scale this efforts.
