About Nigel

I have all of the marketing, communications, and biz dev skills needed to get something off the ground and in flight. They include: corporate and marketing strategy, business development, channel marketing, demand generation, guerrilla marketing, marketing communications, product marketing, and public relations. (I can also pick up the phone and call people and pitch them). From there, it's just a matter of scaling.

As far as experience, I've been in IT marketing (PR and marketing) since 1996. I've been marketing lead for 6 startups. ScanAlert, a B2B IT SaaS startup, was the most successful. I was the first marketing hire (employee #3). Within four years, we dominated our market (60% of the Internet Retailer Top 500 were customers). Two years after that, ARR had reached $26. McAfee then acquired us for $51M. I ran marketing from start to finish.

I'm looking for someone (or the plural of someone) to lead or handle the technical side(s) of the house-product management, architecture, development, coding reliability. Essentially someone who takes extreme pride in making code do what it needs to do.

My toolbox:
1. A lot of experience in B2B and SaaS.
2. Interest and business ideas in the B2B services, consumer/mobile apps, and content/media verticals.
3. Access to some fantastic mentors (entrepreneurs with multiple exits in multiple verticals).
4. Contacts with angel and seed funding channels.
5. Experiences that have proven that "execution" matters far more than the "idea."
