About Duygu

Until mid January 2012, I led the marketing for B2B products of Turkcell, the leading mobile operator in Turkey with 55% market share and the third biggest mobile operator by number of subscribers in Europe. In this capacity, I was responsible for developing new products working jointly with our technical team and business partners/vendors; designing the go-to-market strategy, pricing, promotions; and managing the product portfolio with 170 M TL (~100 M USD) yearly revenue and 25 M TL (~15M USD) budget. Prior to being promoted to this role, I led Turkcell’s online products & services where I designed and launched Turkcell’s first e-commerce business, which has been one of the most exciting experiences in my career.

Before joining Turkcell, I worked as an Engagement Manager at the New York office of McKinsey & Company for four years and led projects primarily in strategy and marketing for leading global companies. Prior to attending to Harvard Business School, I also worked as a management consultant for four years at DiamondCluster International, where I developed and implemented marketing & sales strategies during the start-up of mobile operators across four continents.
Since October 2011, I am on the board of Uttu (upcoming Turkish fashion start-up) and advising the founder designer on business related issues from developing the business model to negotiating with vendors and preparing the marketing plan.
