About Dimitry
I've been a programmer for 23 years (with a B.Sc. in Software Engineering, some industry experience, and many private/social projects), and a full-time entrepreneur for 8 years (filling various roles, including CTO and CEO), although now that I think of it, I've had an "entrepreneurial spirit" for as long as I can remember myself, which is a no small feat considering that I grew up in a communist country, where entrepreneurship was illegal. And the fact, that after 8 years with only a few small successes I'm still able to resist lucrative job offers, tells me that my desire to be an entrepreneur is here to stay.
One thing I like doing most is bringing order to chaos (sounds Borg-ish, I know), i.e. taking large amounts of data and turning it into an easily consumable knowledge. In fact, most of my projects seem to have revolved around this concept. This tendency toward order includes organizational skills in general, which I've used to manage an HR office for a year, and a social club of 100-200 people for over a decade.
I also seem to have a knack for public speaking. On several occasions I even gave improvised speeches in front of thousands of people. No sweat.
In short, I bring with me a vast array of relevant knowledge and experience, the ability to work hard for nothing but a dream, persevere in the face of failure, and to fulfill various startup roles as necessary, not just CTO.
Oh, and I also possess a well-simulated sense of humor that can help the team survive those dark moments all entrepreneurs must face.
