It's a platform for companies to plan and pay for their office events: be it teambuilding, product launch or just an employees birthday. So on one platform, you can have access to entertainment, decor, food etc. Pick your vendors and have everything streamlined, with only one bill to take care off, and every transaction is noted and recorded, so all spending is transparent for HR and accounting team.


What business model works best for this?


Simple commission or commission + vendors paying a small fee to be on the platform?

I'm intrigued by this concept- as a means of supporting a remote workforce with team-building events - particularly as pandemic forces reinvention of so many work constructs. A few questions immediately come to mind....Who is the explicit buyer within the target companies? Do you have a specific market segment, industry or company size in mind? Will your platform feed event reports/plug into company's accounting or HR management tools?Will you offer discounts from preferred vendors or leave all vendor choice/setup to customer?

It sounds like a good market to focus on. It would be helpful if you started y focusing a smaller part of it though as it would give a clearer idea of exactly what your strategy is.


A good approach might be to develop an mvp and then use that to test with potential users to get their feedback on it. I am a software developer so i think in terms of mvps as it helps set the stage for what the product will be and gives people a tangible product to look at. Which can be more helpful then just a concept.


Being that this sounds b2b and b2c there should be some strong revenue possibilities.


I do wonder what is the competitive landscape on this?

I have already started building something similar, MVP is completed and planning to launch it in August first week. We have taken art and crafts learning online on zoom and planning to use art to socialize and for team building activities.

Here in Europe with GDPR and security requirements, you would not be able to sell "access to your platform ". You'd have to A. Sell the full product to the company B. sell modules of your idea to the company. Other than that the idea is really nice (but quite expensive to do - the security encryptions). I'm not a coder so if you are it might be "cheaper" :-) Good luck

My honest opinion is, I'm seeing many of my colleagues finding different opportunities to have a drink outside and actually seeing each other in smaller groups. The company teambuilding events that planned virtually some time ago also getting backfired from many people, as it does not feel the same (People like to see each other in real life).


Virtual ideas sound exciting, especially during these times, but the reality is, people just waiting for it to be over. In the EU, countries like France already opened up and people do their life as normal as before. In Amsterdam that I'm living, many small companies already going to the office and bigger companies that are still WFH sending real games/drinks/snack boxes to their employees, so they can spend a Friday drink and play together via Zoom.


So as you can see, the human element is still there. If you want to build something as you described, make sure to bring life to your product!
