I have a website and an app on iOS and looking for a long term developer that is trustworthy and passionate about my vision. I was just curious on some suggestions on how to find them on this site. Thanks!

What's the web site and app? Maybe I can take over it for you (at least the iOS app)...

Do not look for just a developer. Look for an all rounder, a person who can be your future CTO. A person who can write code now and in future be able to identify the technology stack that will best scale with your product.

Make sure this potential CTO candidate is near your place so you can have face to face meetings. A startup will need a lot of passion and drive and nothing comes close to face to face chat in a coffee shop!

Upgrade to the premium membership, trust me it makes a world of difference. It conveys to others that you are serious. Now filter down to co-founders on this site who live near your city. Send them a personalized message which makes for a warm start to a conversation.

I would say Incentive. You can hire a freelancer or a development agency and they will keep working for you for as long as you can pay.

If you're looking for someone to build something with you based on equity then the most important thing is to get that person on-board with your idea, at least enough to help you with the first steps. If this is your route then finding this person may take time and patience.
