Hey guys hope you are fine. I am here is to discuess about a website that I have created its www.furbito.com, I have create this website to
connect bloggers and readers at one place where bloggers can submit their content based on various categories and readers can subscribe to those categories
to get regular updates about content of those categories. I am asking you people to please checkout my website and please give me your honest feedback.
Just updated my website please have a look and kindly share your views.
The home page was pretty confusing. I didn't know what I was looking at, or what the purpose of the site was. You have a bunch of random articles, some with stretched images and then a word cloud to the right. I didn't understand the organization of the site.
Then there was an option to sign in or register on the top right....but I didn't know why I would need to do either of those. What is the benefit of creating an account on your page?
There is a lot of dead space to the left, because the website is not centered to the page. It also breaks when you scale down your browser window. The captions do not flow very well either when scaling the page.
I am very disappointing that I could log in via a simple SQL injection string (this shouldn't happen these days). You really need to hire a better back-end developer. I posted an article to the "security" category (about SQL injection).
I like CMS-style sites; in fact, I'm making one myself. What makes yours different to sites like Medium? Are you built on WordPress? If so, what makes your site different to the millions of other blogs on WP?
I echo many of the issues presented with your website. Here are my thoughts:
You're off to a great start! The site looks pretty cool. I just noticed two things right away that could be improved. Please see http://prntscr.com/jwj26d for a reference
Overall, I think you have a solid foundation. The home page could be a bit more clear, and you defiantly want to add a call-to-action. I tried to go to your site before reading your comment on what the purpose was, and I found that it was hard to actually understand what the site was for. After reading your comment it made sense, but my point is that it should be a bit more clear for someone who does not have a background on what the site is for.
How do you plan to compete with Medium?
