I started my own business a few months ago and i really want to learn more about business, growth, marketing, design and sales. I'm looking for as much good info i can get. please give me recommendations for books and where i can find more knowledge
Hey Luke, your question is good but its too broad. It would be good if you can specify the particular subject/ interest area you want to know more about?
you should also specify the industry you're in, and what your business does. That would make it easier for others to offer you specific advise. :)
And just in case you are into web or app business, then I can suggest you many things from my experience. Starting from as low as telling you "How much does it cost to create an app" using the calculator tool :)
Hi, Luke! Nice to e-meet you.
Well, if you want to know more about startup development, I invite you to check my site: The Traction Stage Blog & Podcast. There, I provide interviews with founders that generated traction in their startups as well as very practical contents (with spreadsheets) for new founders.
Regarding startups development I strongly suggest you these 3 books:
Still, regarding marketing channels for finding traction I would recommend 2 more books:
Please, let me know if you have any doubts.
Hi Luke - There is not enough room on this platform for me to list all the great books that are out there. My advice:
1.Pick a few mentors
2.Pick a subject to study and look for the books in the categories
3.Go to networking events in the field you are trying to learn
4.When you don't have time to read listen to podcasts on the go, youtube, or books on audible.com
5.Be a leader yourself. Study a subject/area and then teach it or perform it to/for others. You don't have to have your craft perfected before offering it as a service.
Nothing is ever perfect, the solution is in the quality of the service itself, not necessarily the product or the solution. Sometimes the best way is to figure it out as you go instead of being concerned about what you do not know, just take the plunge and be more concerned about what you can learn and how many different ways you can learn to do one thing.
It is a great but difficult journey to start a business. Make sure to continue to love the product/service you do offer but also to share your ideas!
Reason our mastergroupstartup were created so we can try to get help to follow good steps in our way to success :-)
I went to my local library, sign up for a card, and used their free online resources to learn what I needed. My library offers free classes on Lynda.com which is a great resource to at least get you started.
I think the internet is one of the best sources, You can find any material and contact any person you want.
