First, make sure you have a plan that doesn't depend on a business partner because most likely you won't get one. Creating an MVP isn't advertising to test an idea, that's just one step in marketing strategy validation. Marketing strategy always comes first, before product development, because it tells you what your product should be (not the other way around), and if you have an audience of people who are really going to buy your product.
The idea in itself is not good or bad. Its execution is good or bad. You can turn down a good idea if you execute it poorly and you can do wonders with a bad idea executed effectively.
I think you fear that somebody will steal your idea and launch it before you. Your fear is valid. Some company in south-east Asia is doing the same. When it comes across a good business idea, they build it and scale it with the help of their deep-pocketed investors. But if anyone wants to copy it, it can do so even when you have paying customers.
Test your idea, show it to people, if someone copies it, improve it and launch it.
