A crowd importing marketplace where ecomm/resellers connect directly with manufacturers.
Manufacturers post deals and put a time period on how soon moqs need to be met for the deal.
Then ecom/resellers can then purchase directly from manufacturers without having to meet high moq. Ex: manufacturer is selling sunglasses. They put a deal for 100 moqs for x price and if moq is not met, then it's sold at regular price.
How can I validate if this will work?
You would need to interview members of various buying groups who already do this behavior offline. This seems like a web version of it, so not a new concept at all. It obviously works offline, but you would need to evaluate whether there is any incentive to doing this online or if you can create a distinct advantage of doing this through an online marketplace instead of the very well established collection of "buying groups."
