I have plenty of experience in many areas from Operations to Sourcing mostly on Large complex organizations. I know several startups lack of this type of experience, I would like to find some startups looking for executives to help them take their company to the next level and become Co-Founder and why not Investor as well...share your thoughts.
I would say one of the biggest issues you will have with startups is expressing how your corporate experience translates into the more confined process of startups. Most startups are focussed on big picture elements...getting financing, getting their product developed...putting together a team. Unfortunately, operations often gets pushed to the side..when it shouldn't. And many often have a chip on their shoulder about the way larger corporations are run. No offense, but GE's appliances have become sub par since GE sold the division to the Chinese Company Haier. And it is a PAIN to deal with most of the major corporations when it comes to customer satisfaction..because they have little to none. Most of my entrepreneur friends are driving to build something great that is as far from the current state of corporate America (mainly the outsourced aspect of product and customer service) sub par products and service as possible. No one I know is thinking "Man I wish I could get a tenured exec from this corporation or that." but rather, "I want the advisor who helps build great startups, or can bring contacts to a major brand...if that makes since.
So even though most entrepreneurs are striving to build their company into something big and complex, most are trying to figure out how to do small and complex.
If I were in your situation wanting to get involved with startups, I would figure out how what you do on a larger scale can be scaled down to start with entrepreneurs...express you know how to work at their current scaled back level but also know how to scale up as they grow.
Well! If you are looking to contribute your ideas, experiences and resources in a startup, then I would say, be ready for the next journey.
Working in a settled or may be in giant organization is another thing, while working for startup is something different.
Challenges and their scopes are also different. But I can say one thing, if you started working and enjoying, then it will become your life.
If you are looking for something interesting, then we should have few words.
I hope you will like it.
To engage with startups I'd go where entrepreneurs flock -- startup meetups, startup pitch sessions, and meetups/seminars for cutting edge technologies.

Hi Jaime! I'm a Founder of an early-stage, beauty tech start-up and am looking for a Co-Founder with product development, supply chain, logistics, experience. I have a patent-pending beauty device that solves a common, but unresolved, problem, with the potential to become a product that changes the beauty experience as we know it.
My background is in global sales and marketing in beauty devices, and it's an industry I love, I know and am very passionate about. I'm not sure if you have an interest in the beauty space, but I would love to talk further with you if so?
Feel free to connect on LinkedIn.
Best of luck to you!
