Hello. So I am a new blogger and I recently got sent a code from a brand and they said I was welcome to share it with friends and family. Then they sent a link where the code would automatically be applied at checkout. They then asked to be tagged on Instagram with any photos I took with my order so they could share it on their feed. My question is should I be asking for any compensation or any type of money basically? HELP WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Paul says all that needs to be said. Too many companies out there wanting work for free. Value your time as it is the most valuable asset you have or will ever have.

It sounds like this company is asking you for free advertising. And as a blogger, you should also know that you have to disclose when you're advertising, EVERY time, not just once. No, you don't have to ask for compensation, but you also don't have to give away free advertising. What is this company to you? Why is it relevant to your audience? Will it hurt or help your reputation with your audience? You are the important person here with the asset (your audience). Don't share things just because someone asked you to. Make sure it adds value and is completely relevant. If it doesn't, tell a potential partner to talk-to-the-hand.

Sounds like a scam too me. I don't know. Just sounds like they are trying to get you to click on or upload something malicious. Could be legit, but as Paul says, there is likely nothing in it for you. I personally would delete it.
