Hello All!
I'm a developer building a service for start-ups to build their MVP quickly, online without the need for coding. This would reduce development time and expenses for building an MVP by about 95% with a few more added advantages that are specifically aimed at solving the concerns of start-ups that I wont get into here. Projects that would be applicable are ones requiring features such as:
I want to gauge the interest of this community in such a service. From my experience as a freelance developer working with start-ups I'm quite familiar with the pain-points of building MVPs, however I'm curious as to the market size this solution can address. Let me know your thoughts here or contact me directly for a more in-depth discussion.
All my best,
Aleksandra
Personally I don't see in this description any distinction between this "service" and hiring any other freelancer. Whatever development environment programmers are using for outsourced work should have some visibility for the hiring organization.
The issues with building software come more from defining the task properly, validating assumptions, and testing the audience, not from finding someone to build it. Typically the second problem is finding someone to build it for an affordable price. So, your solution isn't yet offering me anything unique with regard to business problems, which is where the pain exists before programming starts.
Also please don't assume MVP to automatically mean a software product. A minimum viable product can be hard goods, in-person service, digital goods, anything. It does not inherently need to be software.
Paul,
If you had to build a web app MVP would you rather pay $30k or $1.5k for the same code base? You don't see a value in building the same thing in 5% of the time for 5% of the cost? Perhaps I'm not understanding your comment.
My best,
Aleks
Aleksandra, have you looked at firebase ? Seems like a similar concept.
AJ,
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I'm quite familiar with firebase. Essentially it is a front-end database solution. It requires coding to build the database and retrieve the objects. It's also not a web app hosting solution and, as such, they do not give you the ability to build your own website visually straight on the browser.
What I'm finding now through all my conversations is that it's difficult to explain the idea especially to non-technical folks. The benefit is clear as day to me as I'm a software engineer and know the start-up industry quite well as far as the MVP development world. It's a good discovery and something I need to work on.
My best,
Aleks
