I´ve seem some inicitives as such attempting to fill the team´s gap for non-technical founders startups. Does anyone here has a experience to share ?
I've been looking for a technical cofounder and as a non-tech person I've had a hard time doing so.
If your startup is more than just a technical product, then CTO as a Service makes sense. CTO as a Service would provide you with right technical stack, how to get it implemented quickly, and how to scale it when needed. Of course, they would probably be more expensive and won't work on sweat equity etc.
For startups where your product itself is the business, it would make sense to have a technical co-founder CTO, who can build the right technical team for the product.
This business does exist already, and people use it, but one of the challenges is that most consultancies like this are operating to keep themselves necessary. What the company utilizing the service needs is typically more temporary support with a transition plan to become self-sufficient. That is hard to find.
