Does anyone have a recommendation for Display Ad Screenshot/Mock up tool or service?

Our clients need to provide "proof" of banner ad impressions across rtb network media buys.

However, it is often quite impossible to actually trigger and find a live impression in wild on programmatic buys so most clients resort to photo shop or some widgets that takes a considerable amount of manual effort by entry level employees or interns to mock up these "screenshots" and put into power point slides across.

We are currently evaluating companies like the Media Trust though their offering doesn't seem to really solve the problem in the programmatic space .

Would anyone be able to make a recommendation for a more automated solution for creating these mock up/ screenshots?

**Question Update:** I signed up for an AdReform.com account and have been using them for the past couple years. Everything about the tool is super simple and it makes generating programmatic ad screenshots a breeze. They recently added support for video, native, and mobile ads and the team is very responsive. Glad I found them!

This is exactly the solution we offer at Ad Reform.

Generate display, video, or native screenshots of programmatic ads on any device and/or website. Plus, you can generate them in bulk to save even more time, and automatically create PDF/Powerpoint presentations of those screenshots.

I already sent Michael a direct message but for anybody else that finds this thread I want you to know that this is exactly what my company does. We make a product called AdShotRunner™ that makes creating these kinds of screenshots or 'tearsheets' quick and easy. With just a few clicks you can get the screenshots you want created and automatically compiled into a PowerPoint file. Check out adshotrunner.com for more information or to sign up and try it out.

Hi Michael

This is a tough one - and more often about buyer's perceptions than of any tangible value.

We do not have a tool to show 'proof of delivery' but we do have a mockup tool which is able to demonstrate an ad in a page. Our technology is used by media owners often selling into SMBs and so showing an ad in-situ on a target website acts as a useful sales tool - see example here

If of interest give me a shout

You should try Adwallet - Automates screenshots for digital campaigns - Completely automated. Adwallet mirrors the setup in your DFP account for naming and takes screenshots according to your DFP settings including domains, targeting, device etc. Every screenshot is taken automatically and put into your publisher powerpoint template. With Adwallet, you will never again have to worry about screenshots. It is all done for you.

I don't think you're asking for the ability to preview an ad or block it out so you can see how it looks, but rather for a way to prove to your customers that you're actually getting impressions in the real world, correct?

Kyle- thanks for the reply.

Our clients still ask for screen shots of ads in the wild which is an impossible task in RTB.

In addition to that we'd love to find a good solution for the latter (proof if impressions) and have evaluated companies like The Media Trust, though we haven't found any who have a really good solution for RTB, let alone having a good screen shot tool for a simple mock up.

Would you have any recommendations for either?

Google Adwords has a nice tool for creating display ads automatically. You don't have to advertise with them, just use the tool.

Hi Nedko,

Thanks for the reply - I am not finding much on Quora- perhaps you can point me in the right direction as a sort of finders fee? ;)

There are many researches on the topic in Quora, Stackoverflow..
Best was to see competitors ad blocks through WhatRunsWhere, Adbeat etc.
But nothing out there that count and preview-screenshot in real time :).

I believe issue is the tag and screenshot matching should be done through same platform and usually programmatic traffic is taken through multiple API, ad servers etc.

We are in beta development of display ads marketplace and that's great idea to set up those premade banner screenshots per publisher's profile page(even manually at first) for the top premium publishers which are part of most programmatic networks. That will be a killing sales angle if we can deliver it, I am stealing that Michael :).
