What are the challenges we can face in this particular space?
This one is easy!
Cities all over the world are growing apprehensive because of situations like this: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/vby5j4/bike-sharing-doomed-to-fail-dallas-limebike-ofo-transportation-cycling.
It doesn't seem to matter if it's dockless, or not.
If you can find a way to do it better, have at it.
We do ecommerce product sales in the space. Can't comment on the bike sharing industry
Planning to Launch it in Indian Market. your suggestion are welcomed
Specific to Indian market.. Especially cities like mumbai/bangalore/pune which are metros or corporate hubs chance of using bike sharing/bicycle sharing is bit difficult due to heavy traffic/pollution/risk of riding/no place etc... the same initiative was started by OLA couple of years back in mumbai but they failed to sustain..Now OLA has come up with cycle sharing but I believe not in metro cities...will definitely need do more research on Indian markets and demands of such things.
have been living in china when ofo/mobikes and a zillion smaller firms exploded on the scene, they got backed by firms with deep pockets. that ended with bikes being dumped all over the place. asian markets have some semblance of order, but still storage and maintenance where a huge problem. Ola and trin trin have launched something similar in India, but at targeted locations. The bike share guys metrobike/vogo/rentongo haven't yet ventured into these fields mainly because of the stand management in terms of pickup/dropoff, theft and damage, as well as liability. example is the initiative at Baiyapanahalli metro in bangalore, they tried to get the automated padlock for a PBS, but the public weren't keen and usage was rough
