Any advice on pricing rates & inventory for ads on a new media streaming platform before launch?

I am looking for specific advice on pricing rates and estimating inventory for a new digital media streaming platform. I have read extensive articles and know the average rate, but trying to apply it to a platform that hasn't launched yet. 

How do we identify available inventory without getting too specific? 

What is the best way to price without analytics besides comparing to competitors? 

It is a tricky space given the new ad tactics to avoid commercials.

If it is truly a start up, with no previous sales, I would advise flexibility in pricing.  The inventory issue will work itself out over time.  I wouldn't try to predict inventory requirements until you have sales in the pipeline.
